Re: Necessary Tutorials and Documentation

Regarding settling down the fluid, that almost always needs use of a drag daemon and k_speed with limit&keep option while the timeline is locked, then save an initial state and continue the sim. I have observed that it does seem more difficult with Dyverso particels in "Liquid-PBD" mod...

Re: Adding CROWN in Dyverso breaks sim

That should not happen.... Maybe there are conditions in the simulation that leads to a crash. Instead of crashing the entire software it sometimes happens that RealFlow behaves erratically instead, but needs to be closed and openend again.

Re: export percentage of simulation

I don't use 3Dsmax, but in the RF_connect plugin you probably find somewhere an option for importing not the full range of particles, but fewer. Here in cinema4D I can choose in the "Particle Importer plugin" a parameter called "Detail" in percent and that then shows only the des...

Re: Necessary Tutorials and Documentation

Hi I can understand your frustration with some older tutorials or some that don't answer obvious questions (can I assume that you use RF10 standalone?). The droplet simulation is one of my favourite types of fluid effects and maybe I make a tutorial about it soon. However, I also found that it is di...

Re: export percentage of simulation

Hi I don't think that is possible and maybe it is not the best way to save space because the fluid could be changed too much. However, you can import only a certain percentage of particles when you use the connect plugin for a 3D software for rendering. And there is also an option for compression of...

Re: Cinema 4D , text of plugin doesnt show up!

Your installation obviously is not in good health. The Realflow plugin should be located in the programs folder (Windows) like this:
Program Files:MAXON:Cinema4D R20:plugins:Nextlimit:

Maybe you have a second plugin in the Maxon preferences folder?

Re: my realflow simulatoins in c4d offset

This is done using the filter daemon. It creates particles belonging to another emitter inside the simulation depending on certain criteria such as speed or collision etc. These new particles then can have other properties like less density or more or less viscosity.
