Re: What happens to Nextlimit?

For me, the problem is they've dropped Lightwave from support for their Connection Software, and there's no Lightwave version of Real Flow. :( When I go to he Next Limit portal, the Lightwave connection plugin is not even listed anymore. If my hard drive crashes and I lose it, it's gone forever! :? ...

Re: Simulating real paint

Hey there,

I don't use Cinema 4D, but maybe this will help. I found a sticky formula that works pretty well in the stand alone version.

Hope this helps. :)

Re: K-volume custom object

I don't know about the C4D version, but in the Stand Alone version of Real Flow, when you add a K-Volume daemon, there is an option to select a custom object.

Re: Using RealFlow to disperse color drops into water?

I think it is possible. In Real Flow, there is a tool called a Filter Daemon. Under conditions you set, it will transfer particles from one group to another. This way, you can have the water in the flask be one color, and the drop be another. Let's say the clear water in the flask is group A. The dr...

Re: Filling a volume from the bottom

Is it possible you have something in the scene, like a plane object that may be blocking the water as it tries to rise up? :?: :?

Re: off-topic: viscous fluids using constraints (X-particles for C4D)

Hey Christian, I've been trying to work with viscous fluids since RF 2012. The big problem for me was to get them to be sticky. I mean really really sticky. Your examples of pain or glue is very close to what I was trying to do. I have found the new Viscous Material that they have with the newer ver...

Re: Melting object

Hey there, The first thing that comes to mind is which fluid engine are you using? The old tutorials are using the Standard Particles. If you're using RF 10, you maybe using the new Dyverso or Hybrido particles. If that's the case, the tutorial does not apply. Standard Particles is a very good engin...

Could you add a Drag Force Daemon to reduce the amount of splashing?

Re: Noob hardware questn

Yeah, that sounds right. I only paid about 200 US for my Nvidia card. I was busy spending way too much on the CPU for rendering. I got one of those Thread Rippers from AMD. It's great, but for about 3 million particles, it was taking anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes per frame. The strange thing is it w...
