Possible cause of Realwave error

Hi both, thanks for the reply. @michael, yeah, this is a collapsing scene where the geometry is cut into small fragments by traditional boolean operation for simulation, so the geometry have loads of unnecessary vertex, but it render perfect and run well in rigid body simulation (in Houdini), but cl...

Possible cause of Realwave error

Hi all, I ran into a realwave error lately, the scene is very simple, a deforming object (non-rigid body) move through the realwave and generate splash, but I keep having error where the realwave broke into a hole after a few frame of splash particles generation, I tried decreasing the max height, v...

creating ocean displacement map in maya

Hi, thanks for the reply. it works nicely. But do you think it is not after all a good idea of trying to match the wave between realflow and may this way? I try generating a mesh in realflow and export back to maya to see if it is match enough to implement the realflow effect + maya ocean workflow, ...

creating ocean displacement map in maya

Hi bubs, I have spend sometimes playing with realwave and all the relative stuff after reading your suggestion, it seems to me that the biggest problem with realwave is that doesn't have the esthetic control maya ocean offer (like choppy wave), so figuring out a way to combine element from realflow ...

creating ocean displacement map in maya

Hi bubs, thanks for the reply. Ah..your suggestion seems promising. Is it simply applying ocean shader to the realflow mesh? One concern is that I read somewhere that realwave as an ocean doesn't look as good as the maya one. Is it really mean to be use as generating large ocean? Another interesting...

creating ocean displacement map in maya

Hi all, this is my first post here. I use realflow only for water simulation until now, I need to make a ocean splash to match the ocean in maya. I search over the forum a find the following thread, http://www.realflowforum.com/view_topic.php?id=411 which suggest that it is possible import a disp ma...
