Re: NVIDIA GPU settings - Optimize for compute performance, on or off?

Yes, it does make a significant difference for Dyverso. (Not much experience with Hybrido, but I can verify that it does for Dyverso through repeated use.) Of course, it depends upon your graphics card. If you have a more powerful nVidia, it makes much more difference than if you have an earlier mod...

Re: Foam texture cache? and maps? how to use?

Maybe someone else will know more about this than I do. But I think the answers to your questions are as follows. I could be wrong about this. Yes, to the first question. Sorry about that. Maps are not camera dependent. Yes, to the second question. Best workflow for MAX is to use the RF plugin for M...

Re: integrated RealFlow-plugin comes to Maya

Yes, I am primarily a Maya modeler, not MAX. Hang in there, OldCode. You never know - they might really do Lightwave. (Although it would make sense for them to move to MAx and then Blender, next). Am starting to put the new integration through its paces tomorrow. Tonight, I'm reviewing the videos. (...

Re: Pressure solver and instabilities in Hybrido simulations

I believe (but am not certain) that this has to do with basic nature of the Hybrido solver. That is, its not really designed to take any significant increase in pressure. (Again, (you're going to get tired of this), Dyverso produces better fluid definition. But anyhow, because I think this has to do...

Re: Problems Filling anything with hybrido

Oh, a "cup". Definitely wants Dyverso. If you'll take a quick peek at my web site http://www.expandingwave.com , everthing there was made with Dyverso. That is, just about everything in the size/scale ranges shown there works better with Dyverso than with Hybrido. To get very high quality ...

Re: Problems Filling anything with hybrido

I'll help, too. Have worked a LOT with Dyverso. Could we see a pic, of any kind of what you are attempting?

Re: integrated RealFlow-plugin comes to Maya

:D This seems to be more than a "plug-in." Even though Maya regards this as a "plugin", its a mjor effort to integrate Realflow right into Maya. :D Probably will have a major impact o a lot of Maya specialists, even though it has to compete with Bifrost. I've downloaded it and wi...

Re: Problems Filling anything with hybrido

Yes, agee with ChristianZ. Without being able to look at your container, I'd suggest that you need to use Dyverso. Hybrido is more for mid to large sized fluid sims (rivers, oceans, streams, waterfalls, etc.) Could be a different opinion if we could see a pic of what you're attempting.
