Special Maxwell Materials for Realflow ?

Snow has started here at the top of the Rocky Mountains, and soon all outside work will stop for me. I'm interested in using the winter months to learn how to make more sophisticated foam, ice and snow materials for use within Realflow. Does anyone need any special materials for Realflow (that are n...

Re: Is it possible to make a translucent mesh?

Yes, it is possible to make a translucent mesh. This requires only a translucent shader. Realflow generates particle clouds of variable thickness that are physically accurate, so some areas of a splash will be thin, and other areas will be thick. The resulting mesh can take any shader. That is, you ...

Re: Vortex daemon

The most simple way to do this is create a circle emitter (perhaps the Dyverso solver), invert it so that it is emitting particles in an upward direction and animate it, changing its position so that it drops down over time, and so that it starts out at a large scale, but becomes much smaller in rad...

Re: Any Dyverso Particle Phython Scripts?

Here are the Sample Dyverso Particle Scripts that are part of the Help Documentation for RF10. As nearly as I can tell, all of these work with RF2015. :D Looping Particles # Get the domain "DY_Domain01" and its particles dyversoDomain = scene.get_DY_Domain("DY_Domain01") dyversoP...

Re: When I say sticky I mean STICKY

Tractor Daemon! :) See the discussion on page 2 of The River Rhone thread in this forum..... Use the Tractor Daemon to keep the great mass of particles in the vicinity of the pie as it moves. You'll need to animate the Tractor Daemon to follow the movement of the pie, but it works well for this type...

Re: The river rhone

If you are one of the nine people who downloaded the Rhone - Dyverso version on Aug 4th and 5th, please accept my apologies. The wrong Scene file set and image file was posted on those days. The correct file set will be posted shortly.

Re: The river rhone

Spiralstaircase, I had a loose hour this morning, so I quickly roughed out the Dyverso version of the Rhone River and posted the scene file for download on the page holding things for this tutorial. http://www.expandingwave.com/rhone-river-tutorials/ A render of the river as made with this simple sc...

Re: The river rhone

Uploading the first tutorial scenes and the more complete draft document now. Should all be ready for download in 30 more minutes. Then, there probably won't be more from me for 5 or 6 days.

OK done! Spiralstaircase, go here http://www.expandingwave.com/rhone-river-tutorials/
