Dyverso Sim using ALL CPU's no mater how many I set?

This is strange, I have a DY Sim running and in setting I set no GPU, CPU only, and choose use 4 or 8 processors. However, in my task manager all my CPUs are being used. Why is this happening? Even when I run via command line it states "using 8 cpus for sim" but my system goes to 100% CPU ...

NVIDIA GPU settings - Optimize for compute performance, on or off?

In NVIDIA setting there is an option to turn on or off "Optimize for compute performance". Does this make any difference in Realflow use / optimization of the GPU?

How do you fracture an object but keep it hollow?

Every time I fracture an object it fills in the inner space with geometry. How do I avoid that? For instance, say I want just a glass cube. How do I shatter it so just the "walls" break and the "inside" is still hollow?

I'm currently testing RF 10.1.2.162. What version of Maxwell does it come with? 4.1.1.1? 4.1.0.3? 4.0.1.1? Is there a way to tell?

I would love to report the bug at official Maxwell forum but I only have a demo license so I'm locked out. I really hate how Nextlimit locks out everyone from their forums. There were so many bugs I could report or situations I could help out in, but no.

Ok, so I think I figured this out. The only way Alpha masks work in Maya on Maxwell shaders is if you save the file sequence as: name000.tif Not: name_000.tif name 000.tif 00000.tif This was driving me crazy. There is some bug in the Maya expression when you check "use image sequence" that...

So there is a bug in the Maya Maxwell plugin. I can create a working Alpha material in Maxwell Studio just fine, but the second it's imported into Maya the material is broken. Alpha breaks. Bummer.
