Re: How to create realistic chocolate flow

Hi, can I suggest to try a little bit of r&d using standard particles: -high substeps (stability) -high viscosity (choco behaviour) -relative high surface tension (for cohesion) -high frame per second (stability) -high drag force (stability of movements) -low external pressure (avoids a fast ben...

I want to recreate a better surface tension along flow borders: https://www.google.it/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiw5Lrel9DNAhVLPhQKHYVyDlQQjRwIBw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fit.depositphotos.com%2F5121989%2Fstock-photo-blue-water-spl...

Re: Water calculation on surface

a simple solution:
you can use the collision option in filter daemon and send particles that collide/flows with objects to a container and easily calculate percentages involved.

Border detection

Hi all,
is there a "simple" way to detect borders on a splash or wathever flow? and in pre cached flows?

Thanks.

Hybrido: recalculate only .f3d cache

Hi,
is there a way to restore (recalculate) a damaged f3d cache without resimulating its rcp HY_Domain?

Re: RF 2015: bigger simulation times using gpu

In other words: it's a lottery!

8 threads better then 48, cpu+gpu slowdown simulations in many cases...

Oh my...at this time I wanth to investigate on Houdini performances.

Thanks again for effort.

Some interesting info on GPU in this thread on the official forum: http://www.realflow.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=512&hilit=GPU Hi ChristianZ and thanks for reply. I just looked at this thread but...it's 3 years old with 3 years old hw and sw. In Simulation Option, I've three OpenCL opt...

RF 2015: bigger simulation times using gpu

Hi all, I'm starting to test hybrido simulation in "dense" mode. If I apply gpu mode (nvidia gtx 970) then simulation times slowdown over 20%. Realflow documentation is poor of hardwares infos about compatibility so...if someone have same issue I can consider that gtx 970 is a bad buy for ...
