Re: Realflow Particles Channels in Maya 2017 and above

The channels in RFConnect|Maya are broken and there's also no workaround I'm aware of.

Re: Problem in Hybrido - ship sail in ocean

You're welcome 3dkobi. From what I've learned from your explanations I aslo agree that it's a solver thing. Unfortunately, I can't think of a solution right now how to fix that and I'm very sorry. Maybe increasing the domain's "Vorticity boost" and the ship's "Interaction factor"...

Re: Problem in Hybrido - ship sail in ocean

I see... I had many projects where disabling particle sampling was my rescue, so I though it might be worth trying. My guess is that this is more a structural problem - either with the ship's shape or the Hybrido solver - or both. It could be that the particles along the bow are pretty fast, so that...

Re: Problem in Hybrido - ship sail in ocean

A depth of 4 m should be ok for that. Another thing I can think of: are the checkboxes under the domain's "Particle Sampling" active? These options are there to control particle-object interaction and in many cases it's better to deactivte them, because they often remove particles in certa...

Re: Problem in Hybrido - ship sail in ocean

Quick question: did you try to increase the ship's "Grid friction" parameter already? And I can also imagine that it might help to make the water slightly deeper. More substeps won't help you here, I'm afraid.

Re: Retiming with particle positions intact for mesh UVs

Hi there, You're digging into many different things here, so I'll try to sort things a bit. i didn't have any luck retiming the mesh itself, it seemed to duplicate one frame over and over... so now I'm just trying to mesh the retimed particles. That's is definitely the better idea. Retimed meshes do...

Re: Foam particle/particle mesh OpenVDB export

That's not possible by default. The only way to do that is a graph that creates a field from the foam particles and export it as an OpenVDB sequence. Anyway, I think the resolution of the field will not be satisfying for a high-quality volumetric render.

Hi luucasnanni,

Just take a look at your other post "Dspline to get a ribbon" ;)

Re: Granular Particles changing IDs during animation

Unfortunately there's no out-of-the-box solution for this issue. In Dyverso, particle IDs change every few frames. The main reason for this behaviour was to make Dyverso ready for GPU simulations: particles are not sorted by ID, but based on their location in the (V)RAM to accelerate the simulations...
