Re: Granular_Test_

Hey, that's very nice. Would love to know more about the simulation specs though: things like simulation time, GPU, number of particles, render engine ;)

Re: Importing Alembic cache from Maya

This issue has been solved by reexporting the nodes via Cinema 4D's SD Exporter plugin.

Re: Importing Alembic cache from Maya

Here are my Alembic import settings - C4D uses are rather big scale: https://picload.org/image/rcowlpga/c4d_alembic_import.jpg And this is the export dialogue: https://picload.org/image/rcowlpgl/c4d_alembic_export.jpg As you can see, C4D uses Ogawa. The only unknown is axis setup, because C4D has a ...

Re: Importing Alembic cache from Maya

I've taken your original Alembic, imported it to C4D and reexported it as an SD and it's working. This could be at least a workaround for now. Same applies to a reexported Alembic. So I think it's an issue with Maya. If you want me to convert your working files let me know. You can PM me your links ...

Re: Importing Alembic cache from Maya

At least i've been able to reproduce your observation, but i'm still not sure what causes this (when I import the object to C4D, for example, everything's correct). I'll keep you posted.

Re: Importing Alembic cache from Maya

Yes, you can adjust the frame rate in RF (triangle next to the "Simulate" button > Options... > General > FPS output) and this was my first idea, but the factor is pretty strange: 76360 : 2930 = 26.06

Re: Importing Alembic cache from Maya

Thanks for the images. They just proof what you've said, but don't really help me to find the reason for this behaviour.

Re: Export VDB Files from Standard Emiiter/Dyverso Emiiter

RF uses parts of the OpenVDB libraries to create this mesh type, e.g. the volume filters (dilate, smooth, erode). The result is still a polygon object, not a field. But it's possible to reimport the meshes, extract their distance fields and write out everything to OpenVDBs. You need a graph to do th...

Re: Importing Alembic cache from Maya

That's indeed a strange behaviour. Is there any chance to get this Alembic file? Without the file it's very difficult to find out what's going on.

Btw, the images can't be viewed.
