Better Grid Fluid Splashes

Hı,

for creating splashes I found Realflow to be working better if setting Use detail Threshold to No. Besides, your underlying grid fluid resolution is very low, so this will result in less detailed splashes.

DD makıng people pay to work for them

Node based workflow in Realflow 2013?

At least, this is what I read out of this announcement: http://www.fmx.de/program/detail-2012/event/599/861/32/861/detail/Event.html Nodes! Rocks! So let's hope the guys will take some time and carefully implement those features so we will have some great, helpful and stable tools in the upcoming ve...

Morph Target Setup incerdibly slowing down the simulation

Hi, I am playing around with morph and it seems to be working pretty fine, but there's are still a couple of questions: - Method of selecting Targets: Changing that from Random to Nearest makes my sim so slow I can't use it. 4K particles on an i7 2600K should go faster than 10min/ frame. Having Targ...

One collision only syntax for filter daemon

AFAIK there is no option one can select the collider object, yet. I also ran into this problem very often and ended up in creating one of those hacks.

Changing SD timings

This won't work because the shadowing and refractions will be wrong. I found another hack. Ofsetting the BIN mesh caches is quite easy....

Changing SD timings

Hi, I imported a SD cache into my 3ds Max scene. It is an object hitting a water surface, creating splashes etc. It feels the splashes are genereated too late, so I wanted to retime the SD and shift it by one frame. How is this supposed to be done in Max? The SD also consists of several objects, so ...

Can Realflow be used to simulate particle compression?

Realflow dosen't have a so-calles granular solver, but you might get close to the desired behaviour using Realflow and some python scripting. Realflow is also a simulation package for computer graphics, so the results are not scientifically correct, but close.

Lower subteps, longer sim

I gues a mix of Python and adaptive substepping. Compare the simulation times using fixed substeps.

Emitter settings

There are no final settings for any effect in dynamics. Experiment, find out things on your own and ask if you get stuck. The only thing I'd recommend is never to emit directly into the scene. Always have your particles collide with some geometry as this will support the natural look and feel of the...
